Brutus jest niedużym pieskiem, bardzo żywiołowym i serdecznym. Cieszy się widząc człowieka, skacze i domaga się głaskania. Jest łagodny i zgodny wobec innych psów.
Został znaleziony w rowie, gdzie leżał powalony plagą kleszczy. Miał ich ponad 50. Szybko podany lek uratował mu życie. Kleszcze zostały usunięte a piesek wyleczony.
